Instituto de Educação, Universidade de Lisboa (IE-ULisboa) is a higher education school dedicated to research, teaching, and intervention in society and public policy, in the field of Education and Training.
IE-ULisboa promotes a university education of excellency, providing students the right conditions to learn and take action in different contexts of education and training, whether in public services, in companies and in the third sector.
IE-ULisboa educational offer aims a variety of publics, from young people beginning their 1st cycle studies, to those seeking new skills during their professional careers, particularly through post-graduation training.
Research is IE-ULisboa driving activity and answers to contemporary challenges on education and innovation by producing diagnostic and prospective knowledge, directed at public policies and action.
IE-ULisboa also intervenes in Portuguese society, in multiple fields of education, while engaging intensely in academic and cooperation networks within Europe and in Portuguese speaking countries, from where receives an ever-expanding contingent of post-graduation students.
