Information for eBook publication and Sisyphus journal

GUIDELINES FOR PUBLICATIONS ICET2022

 

1. Guidelines for submitting to the journal Sisyphus – Journal of Education

Sisyphus – Journal of Education of the Instituto de Educação da Universidade de Lisboa will publish a thematic dossier in June 2023 with a set of papers that results from the communications presented at ICET 2022. The thematic dossier will be coordinated by Joaquim Pintassilgo, as principal editor, and will have as co-editors the coordinators of each of the four networks of ICET (Ana Paula Caetano, Estela Costa, Maria João Mogarro, Mónica Baptista).

The proposals must follow the rules of the journal and be prepared according to the model made available by the journal (see https://revistas.rcaap.pt/sisyphus/about/submissions). The journal accepts papers in Portuguese, English and Spanish. The submission should be made on the journal's platform, in a link connected to the thematic dossier.

Observation: According to the rules of the journal Sisyphus, this thematic dossier may only contain 16 papers. Therefore, no more than 4 papers will be accepted for each network of ICET. Also according to the rules of the journal, less than 25% of authors of the thematic dossier will have an affiliation to the Institute of Education.
Proposals that have not been accepted in the thematic dossier of the journal Sisyphus may be included in the proceedings of ICET2022, in accordance with its rules. Texts must be forwarded, by 15 February, 2023, to the email atasicet@ie.ulisboa.pt

Important dates of the process of submission to the journal Sisyphus:
15 October 2022 - Submission of the proposals
31 December 2022 - Referees’ decision
31 January 2023 - Authors’ decision
15 March 2023 - Submission of revised version of the manuscripts
30 April 2023 - Final version of the manuscripts
30 June 2023 - Publication of the thematic dossier
 

2. Guidelines for proceedings with an e-book format

Authors are invited to prepare a text of their communication to be published in an e-book. The text should be prepared in the available template (click here to download the template), with a maximum of 12 pages (excluding attachments), and organized according to the following sections:

• Abstract
• Introduction
• Theoretical framework
• Methodology
• Results
• Final considerations
• References

All citations in the text must comply with APA (7th edition).
In the case of symposia, each communication should follow the previous indications; in addition, the final text should also contain the following sections:

• General introduction, including a brief presentation of the symposium and contextualization of the theme;
• Discussion and general conclusion of the theme 

The text should be prepared in the available template (click here to download the template), with a maximum of 12 pages (excluding attachments)

In the case of conferences and round tables, each communication has to submit the following sections:

• General introduction, including a brief contextualization of the theme;
• Development of the theme (in which different sections may be considered, depending on the work presented)
• Discussion and general conclusion of the theme 

The text should also adopt the template available (click here to download the template), with a maximum of 12 pages (excluding attachments).

Observation: Proposals that have not been accepted in the thematic dossier of the journal Sisyphus may be included in the proceedings of ICET2022. Texts must be forwarded, by 15 February, 2023, to the email atasicet@ie.ulisboa.pt. These texts should follow the rules of the e-book.
